The MotoStudent team of the Polytechnic University of Madrid visits Capa Esculturas

Motocicleta eléctrica de la UPM en Capa Esculturas

This week part of the MotoStudent team from the Polytechnic University of Madrid visited our facilities where they compete with their innovative electric motorbike. With them, we have had the honor of being able to collaborate with theses future engineers in the development of some key parts. Through this collaboration we want to highlight the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and private organizations.

Beyond an interview

These students, participants of the MotoStudent challenge, visited us for an interview and a tour of our installations, getting to know a little more about us and how we can continue to help them. During his visit we were able to see the motorbike and discover the engineering behind it.

The day was marked by a nice exchange of ideas, seeing first-hand the technology behind our installations and how they were used to produce some of their key parts.

Our collaboration with MotoStudent UPM

The collaboration stems from the need to create some specific parts for t he electric motorbike. This vehicle has very demanding requirements in order to be able to compete in MotoStudent. Capa Esculturas has contributed its grain of sand by achieving synergy for the team of students to explore innovative solutions, with the creation of modules to improve aspects of aerodynamics, weights and performance.

The importance of collaboration between business and academic institutions.

The collaboration between the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Capa Esculturas reflects and exemplifies the mutual benefits that born when forces are joined. For Capa Esculturas to have collaborated with young, creative and enthusiastic minds opens up new avenues of innovation and keeps us at the forefront. And for the students, this experience not only provides them with the necessary part for their motorbike, but also with the tangible reality of all the knowledge they have acquired during their studies.
