Nahia’s work cast in Capa Esculturas<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The sculpture of “Nahia”, located at the end of Licenciado Poza Street and looking towards the Athletic de Bilbao stadium, is a work cast in bronze by Capa Esculturas that embodies the dreams and aspirations of young female footballers. Representing a young girl holding a football and looking hopefully and excitedly towards the stadium, the piece pays tribute to the passion and determination of female footballers of all ages. <\/p>\n\n

Juan Villa Herrero’s<\/a> work stands out for its realism and emotionality, capturing the spirit of self-improvement and the values of equality, inclusion and diversity in sport.<\/p>\n

Inaugurated for the Women’s Champions League Final<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

“Nahia” has been inaugurated during the presentation of the UEFA Women’s Champions League final, highlighting the importance of the event as a milestone in women’s football. This event not only celebrates high-level competition, but also emphasises the recognition and support of women’s football.<\/p>\n\n

The location of the sculpture and the moment chosen for its unveiling symbolise the link between the football tradition and its commitment to the promotion of equal opportunities in sport.<\/p>\n\n

The Women’s Champions League final will take place on 25 May at 18:00 at the San Mam\u00e9s stadium and the sculpture can be seen right in front of Jos\u00e9 \u00c1ngel Iribar’s work.<\/p>\n\n

“Hay mucho en juego” Campaign<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The campaign presented in San Mam\u00e9s “Hay mucho en juego”, uses the sculpture of “Nahia” as an emblem of the fight for the visibility and recognition of women’s football. Through interviews with notable figures such as Irene Paredes who highlighted “I have also been that girl who dreamed of playing Champions League finals like San Mam\u00e9s. Fortunately, all that is changing and I feel proud to belong to this generation that is changing the rules of the game”. Also present were UEFA personalities such as Nadine Kessler, who stressed in a video that “Spain is one of the world epicentres of women’s football”.<\/p>\n\n
